Growth never happens by accident - it's always intentional. The YWAM Gold Coast Internship Program is an opportunity for you to set aside 3 months, 6 months or even 12 months to discover your place and purpose in God's Kingdom.

Internship Training

Training involves both teaching sessions and primarily practical ministry opportunities. Teaching focuses on developing you and your relationship with God and will include such topics as Leadership, Evangelism    .

YWAM Gold Coast is involved in a number of ministries, which you will be a part of, including:

• Street outreach with the Coffee Van
• Primary School and High School Religious Education Programs
• Park Outreach
• Beach Sports Outreach
• Feeding Programs
• and much more

Through these practical opportunities, we will equip you to lead and organise outreach programs and events to reach people who don't yet know Jesus. You will also be part of YWAM base operations, learning the logistical, administrative and support roles.

At YWAM Gold Coast, we enjoy community-style living and treat everyone like family - including you!

As an Intern with us you can expect to have a lot of fun and make some life-long friends while serving God and seeing lives transformed.

An intimate relationship with Jesus is integral to your growth and you will have plenty of opportunity to read study and live out the Word of God, develop a consistent devotional and prayer life and share in regular praise and worship times.

You will be challenged and stretched as God moves in your life and you should expect to see the supernatural as you go about your ministry. While the pace can often be fast and intense, our heart is to see your thrive and grow as your become more like Jesus.

Entry Requirements

• Minimum Age 18
• Be an Australian Citizen or have a valid Visa (please contact us to find out what kind of Visa you need)
• English Proficiency Test if English is not your first language
• Pass Police Criminal Record Check

3 Month Internship

Applicants to the Internship program need to demonstrate a heart for reaching others with the Gospel message and want to see Gods Kingdom advance. You should be aware of the time, energy and effort required and prepared to work at least 40 hours a week. We will encourage you to fully participate in all aspects of YWAM Gold Coast base life, including prayer and worship, planning meetings, meal times, and cleaning rosters.

6 Month & 12 Month Internship

As well as meeting the above requirements, the 6 month Internship requires a Discipleship Training School (DTS). Those who have not yet completed a DTS can apply for the year long Internship program, as a 6 month DTS is included. Please ask us for more information by clicking on contact us.

Due to the time difference betwhen  the 3 and 6 month Internships, you may not experience as many opportunities as the 12 month internship.

Important Dates

The Internships run in 3 month slots and there are four intakes a year, at the beginning of March, June, September and December. Applications are due one month before the starting date.

We encourage each applicant to seriously consider the full 12 month Internship to optimise your  opportunities  to discover your place and purpose in God's Kingdom and allow time to establish  your ministry gifts and abilities.  We are confident that at the end of  12 months you will be ready to lead or start a similar intitatives to the ones you have participated in.

Costs

For Internships of 3, 6 or 12 months, the minimum monthly cost is $700 AUD which includes Accommodation, Food, Transport for ministry and Lectures. This excludes the Discipleship Training School (DTS).

The cost of the 12 month Internship will depend on which DTS you choose to be a part of, so please contact us for more details.

About the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia

Located on the East Coast of Australia, the Gold Coast is 55 minutes south of Brisbane, Queensland's capital. The Gold Coast is famous for its beaches, great surf, shopping and Theme Parks.

The YWAM Gold Coast base is in the suburb of Ashmore, just 10 minutes drive from the heart of iconic Surfers Paradise. We are within easy distance of the local shopping centre which has a supermarket, hairdresser, barber, bakery, post office and other services. Fast food restaurants and eateries are also close by.

Public transport around Gold Coast is with Surfside Buslines www.surfside.com.au . A nearby bus stop will connect you to Australia Fair, one of the Gold Coast's largest shopping malls. From here, you can take a bus to anywhere you would like to go on the Gold Coast.
